The bike has a modern take on the traditional step-through frame, with upgraded blacked-out features that blend easily into the frame. Whilst they might not visually be noticed, that have a big impact on the performance of the bike, especially on longer rides.
The Entity e-bike system has been retained, but now works in sync with a Shimano 9 speed drivetrain to give the rider a lot more range in speed outside the 25km/hr pedal assistance limit. The improved shift quality is also mirrored in the sturdy, oversized components which reduce flex and give a more sure-footed response.
Entity E200 E-Bike System
The E200 system is retained on the Ultimo 2.0 due to its long battery life, powerful motor, easy to use display and integration with the Entity Ride App.
Reflective Kenda Tyres with Puncture Resistance
Offer additional safety with reflective sidewalls for increased side on visibility and a puncture protection lining to reduce the chance of unwanted flats on longer rides.
Shimano 9 Speed Drivetrain
The massive 11-36 cassette broadens the gear range enormously and consequently allows trips further afield without being limited by the 25km/hr pedal assistant. The added durability is also a welcome addition.
Lock On Ergonomic Grips
Along with the saddle and pedals, grips are the only touch points between you and the bike and make a big difference to the ride quality. The lock-on ergo grips provide wrists much needed support whilst riding and also whilst stopped.
Suspension Seat post
E-bikes don’t require the rider to be powerful and efficient and hence allow them to be in a more upright comfortable position. This places more of the rider’s weight on the saddle, and hence a suspension seatpost can reduce some of the unwanted jolts from irregularities in the pavement.
